Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Tyria Companion mobile application (the "App") or accessing the website at https://tyriacompanion.app (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App or Site.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
Tyria Companion is a third-party companion application for the game Guild Wars 2. The App provides tools including but not limited to: daily task tracking, event timers, trading post tools, gold and account tracking, and account progress features. The App uses the official Guild Wars 2 API provided by ArenaNet.
Tyria Companion is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or otherwise connected to ArenaNet, LLC or NCSoft. Guild Wars 2 is a trademark of ArenaNet, LLC.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or guardian to use the App.
4. User Accounts & API Keys
Certain features of the App require you to provide a Guild Wars 2 API key. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your API key. Do not share API keys that include sensitive permissions (such as account or trading post access) with untrusted applications.
You agree not to use the App in a way that violates ArenaNet's API usage policies or Guild Wars 2 Terms of Service.
5. Subscriptions & Purchases
5.1 Subscription Tiers
The App offers the following paid subscription tiers: Rare, Exotic, and Legendary. Each tier unlocks additional features as described in the App and on the Site. A free tier is available with no charge.
5.2 Billing
Subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Billing is managed by Apple or Google respectively. By subscribing, you agree to their applicable billing terms.
5.3 Free Trial
Paid tiers may include a free trial period. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged. After the trial period, the subscription fee will be billed automatically unless cancelled.
5.4 Cancellation & Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to paid features until then. Refunds are subject to Apple's and Google's respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.
5.5 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. You will be notified of any price changes in advance. Continued use of a subscription after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's backend systems
- Use the App to violate any ArenaNet or NCSoft policies
- Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the App
- Reproduce, distribute, or sell the App or its content without written permission
7. Intellectual Property
The App, its design, code, and content (excluding Guild Wars 2 trademarks and assets owned by ArenaNet) are the intellectual property of Tyria Companion and protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.
Guild Wars 2, ArenaNet, and associated marks are the property of ArenaNet, LLC. Their use in connection with this App is descriptive and does not imply any affiliation.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of security vulnerabilities. We do not guarantee the accuracy of in-game data retrieved via the GW2 API.
We are not responsible for any issues caused by changes to the GW2 API, game updates, or ArenaNet policy changes that may affect the App's functionality.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Tyria Companion and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of in-game items, currency, or progress.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, if any.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Subscription fees paid for future periods may be refunded at our discretion.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the relevant jurisdiction.
