Tyria Companion ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information when you use the Tyria Companion mobile application (the "App") and this website at https://tyriacompanion.app (the "Site").
By using the App or Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App or Site.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Guild Wars 2 API Key
To provide account-personalized features, the App allows you to enter your Guild Wars 2 API key. This key is stored locally on your device and is used solely to fetch data from the official GW2 API on your behalf. We do not transmit your API key to our servers.
2.2 Account & Usage Data
We may collect anonymized, aggregated usage data (such as which features are used and how frequently) to improve the App. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
2.3 Subscription & Purchase Data
If you subscribe to a paid tier, purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We receive confirmation of your subscription status from these platforms but do not receive or store your payment card details. Purchase records are governed by Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies.
2.4 Contact Information
If you contact us via email or a support form, we collect your email address and the content of your message to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to any marketing list without explicit consent.
2.5 Crash Reports & Diagnostics
The App may collect crash reports and diagnostic information to help us identify and fix bugs. These reports may include device type, operating system version, and the state of the App at the time of the crash. They do not include personally identifiable information.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the features of the App
- To process and manage your subscription
- To respond to support requests
- To diagnose technical issues and fix bugs
- To understand how features are used in aggregate
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your GW2 API key is stored locally on your device using the platform's secure storage mechanisms. We use industry-standard practices to protect any data processed through our systems.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Third-Party Services
The App and Site may use the following third-party services:
- ArenaNet GW2 API - to retrieve your in-game account data. Subject to ArenaNet's privacy policy.
- Apple App Store / Google Play - for purchase and subscription management.
- Appwrite - for backend services (if applicable). Subject to Appwrite's privacy policy.
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

8. Retention
